Hey Guys!
Happy Monday, and the start of another week!! It's around 60 degrees and sunny here in Nashville, couldn't ask for better Monday motivation than that!
Hope you all had a great weekend. I had a great Birthday on Friday! I know people say all of the time, "Oh I feel so blessed," but I really did Friday. On Thursday, I don't know if it was the gloomy, chilly weather, but Thursday I was just down. I couldn't shake myself out of it. I was thinking and reflecting too much on what I DON'T HAVE at 32 yet... and that's not good. I just kept praying under my breath on Thursday when I felt I was going to crack, "God help me be positive. I have so much to be grateful for, I don't want to be down on my Birthday and in a pitty party for myself, help lift me up!" Well, God showed up Friday on my Birthday for sure. It was 80 degrees, sunny, and I just had this boost of positivity that was just bursting out of me Friday. Tony took me to lunch and TJ Maxx and we just had the best day! I felt all of God's grace and He just gave me this immense peace on Friday.
Here's the thing... we all have these tough days. Sometimes, your tough days outweigh your good days that week, and that's OK! It's normal.... What I've come to realize during the tougher weeks is this: when I feel down or confused or weak, God is stirring something up inside of me. He's shaking me for change. Sometimes I have to stand up and do something about it, and sometimes when I'm feeling weak, He's asking me to be still to listen to Him to guide me. To rely on Him and where He's taking me. In our weakest moments, if you open your heart and say "I'm trusting you God that you will make it all ok and you'll help me" I promise you, He will! He wants to help you, and you literally cannot do it on your own. If you do, even if you accomplish what you set out for, you will still be left empty inside. All the money and possessions in this world, will never fill that whole inside of you that belongs to God.
If you're new here, you know Tony and I have been together 8 years and married for 6. And we've really been trying for babies for about a year. We stopped being careful a long time ago even before that. Nothing is happening. We're getting close to that point of if we need to go get checked out by a doctor. But I just don't know if I'm ready to face that if we're told something bad. I'm trying to hold onto my faith that God has a plan and His timing for us will be perfect. My parents were told they would probably never conceive, one in a million chance, and I'm here. So, I'm holding onto that.... that if it's His will, it doesn't matter what the odds are. So, again, I'm leaning into God and trying not to plan myself. Tony and I are just going to continue doing our part very often lol, and I'm just giving it up to the man upstairs. Trying to have total and complete TRUST.
Sorry to get so deep for a Monday, but want you all to know... we all have something heavy on our minds and hearts. But instead of letting it take you over and get you down all of the time, when you're weak, lean into God. Just some advice to combat those Monday blues to help you jumpstart your week on the right track!
With these random summer temps we've been having, I put together this jeans and t-shirt look that's perfect for brunch, casual dinner, or just errands. I love that the Birkenstock look is back! So comfy and cute all at the same time. Get the look by shopping the links above!
