Minimal Thanksgiving Tablescape
H A P P Y T U E S D A Y ! Well, it's a real cold one today in Nashville! High is in the 30's, and you can hear that wind outside... burr! Feel like it's starting earlier this year, anyone else?? As we approach Thanksgiving, well, to be honest I'm seeing more Christmas inspiration already lol. But that's okay, to each their own. I'll probably wait to pull out the Christmas decorations until Thanksgiving night. Until then, I'm sticking with my pumpkins and fall decor. I literally threw this tablescape together with things I already had around the house! It's a mix of Target, Homegoods, JoAnn Fabrics, Walmart, & Goodwill!
My tablecloth ($14.99), the placemats (set of 6 $7.99), & napkins (set of 4 $5.99) are all Homegoods finds and bring the perfect farmhouse minimal feel that I can use year round! {The TRICK to decorating on a budget is finding things that you can use year round! If I'm going to invest $$, I want to be able to USE it. The holiday things like pumpkins... keep the cost down. Hence the dollar bin finds... however, I love that I can use all of these pumpkins in years to come!} All of the pumpkins, except for the foam grey ones I got from Walmart for $.99, are all from the Target dollar bins (think I paid $3 for the orange pumpkin in the middle!) The greenery... you'll laugh to find out these faux green branches are ones I saved from our church handing them out on Palm Sunday! It's true! And the sticks are from The Grand Tetons that we visited in Wyoming this past summer. (Tony wanted to bring home a memory bc we loved going there so much!) To re-create this look is easy: use what you have outside if you want real.... there's so much we just look past in our own yard! If you want to go the faux route- the BEST place I can suggest is JoAnn Fabrics!! This is my go-to store for things like this and holiday decor! They always have 40-50% sales that you just can't beat!! Last but not least, don't be scared to check out Goodwill! My salad plates (actually got 4 salad plates & 4 matching dinner plates altogether for $9!) and candlesticks (they're real silver and I paid maybe $.50 for each?) came from there! (I chose to pair my salad plates with some black plates I had for contrast.)
Hope this gives you some tablescape inspiration and to remind you that minimal & affordable can be elegant looking and make any occasion feel special. Don't break your wallet just because you offered to host, be smart... you don't have to spend a fortune to have a beautiful home! Linking similar items below... but remember, always keep your eyes peeled at Homegoods, Target, JoAnn Fabrics, Walmart, & go check out Goodwill for hidden treasures!! Happy hunting!
