Holiday Glam
Holiday parties are a time when you can spice up your makeup & hair and be a little extra!
Thanks to this glam, but comfortable dress & earrings from Altar'd State.... I wanted to take my hair and makeup up a notch than what I normally do, yet keep it totally on the simple side. I'm not a makeup artist nor a hair stylist so I have plenty of limitations lol..... so if I can do this look, so can you!
Face:
I start with the primer I cannot live without, followed by my foundation in nude beige. Then I dab a couple spots of concealer in ivory under my eyes and blend with my fingers. To set it all, I use this HD powder in banana and dab under my eyes and my entire face to help control shine with a smaller foundation brush. I add a little bit of this blush in Tigerlily on the apple of my cheeks. Then, I take a fan brush and use the lightest color in this bronzer palette and highlight in between my eyebrows and up my forehead, down the brim and end of my nose, and the tops of my cheek bones. I then take a larger powder brush and add a little of the HD powder again over everything to set it all!
Eyes:
I take this Babe Lash brow filler in taupe and use small brush strokes to comb it into my brows to fill them in for a natural look. On my eyelids, I start with the Milk eye pigment in Champagne and dab it on, specifically in the inner corners of my eyes to brighten up my eyes. I then take one of the darker colors in this eye shadow palette and use it in the outer corners, crease, and my lower lash line on my eyes and blend. Then take a light color underneath my brows. I then take the felt tip eyeliner and do a cat eye line. For my mascara, I use one coat first of the It Cosmetics Superhero on the top lashes. Then for a second coat, I use this Covergirl Supersizer to comb out and lengthen the top lashes and then do a coat of this on my lower lashes.
Lips:
To spice things up- I got daring and used this bright color in bold true red by Bite Beauty. The trick is to not be scared, just go for it! Lifehack: to clean up the line of a dark, bolder color like this- after you apply your lipstick, use a lighter- nudish lip pencil to line your lips. You can literally draw the line and it cleans up the line perfectly!
Hair:
After I blow dry, literally all I did was use this 1" wand I picked up at Target for under $17 and spray it with my favorite hair spray from Nexxus! (This hairspray is the best bc it makes my hair so shiny, holds, but still allows movement not stiff!) I even like to take my fingers and run them through my hair to loosen up the curls a bit. Then all I did was take this invisibobble hair tie and make a side pony tail. Then, I just took one little section of my hair and wrapped it around my pony tail and tucked it in. That's it!
That's literally all I did to achieve this Holiday Glam look! Like I said, if I can do it, YOU can do it too!
