Home Sweet Home
Home...... this is our first house and this year will be 5 years we've been here! As we've never had a big budget to spend LOL... we've just done little by little with decor and changing things out to what we like! Our house was built in 2004, so some things were a little outdated... light fixtures, faucets, fans, bathrooms..... but most of this is just cosmetics. And I knew that little by little, it would be an easy fix!
Most places I look to shop that are budget friendly are: Homegoods, Joss & Main, Target, Hobby Lobby, Amazon, JoAnn Fabrics, Ross, & Walmart. I will say I've also found a couple cute home things from H&M home, and Urban Outfitters recently- (I just scored a long runner rug on sale from here for only $30!) How I love to look at Instagram and Pinterest for home inspiration, most designer items are just plain out of my budget! So I look at photos and get ideas, and then look for similar items at these above mentioned stores! It is very possible to have a nicely decorated home on a budget! And just remember, Rome wasn't built in a day! Celebrities can buy everything at once, but most regular people cannot and it's OK!
One BIG TIP I will share, and I tell all our friends and family that ask me for my advice on home decor: BEFORE YOU START BUYING THINGS- MAKE YOURSELF A 'HOME' FOLDER ON PINTEREST AND MINDLESSLY PIN WHAT YOU LIKE! I guarantee that after a while when you look back at all of your pins, that you will find a theme and your taste! (I wish I had done this! I would have saved myself a little time and money 5 years ago... and Tony some time on painting the walls the wrong color haha!) To SHOP all of our current home decor, just click here !
