What To Do In Nashville
Hey guys!
Hope you're having a great week! Today's post is all about the number one question I get asked by everyone (including my family & friends lol): "We're planning a trip to Nashville, what should we do or not miss while visiting?" I don't mind this question, I'm happy to help anyone coming to town, but I must confess... I get a bit of anxiety trying to come up with a list lol. Of course the nightlife of Broadway is always a fun attraction if you've never been here, but there's definitely more to Nashville than just Broadway! Sometimes things Tony & I might consider fun or "cool" may not seem that way to everyone. So I try to give good options while answering this question. It also doesn't help that Nashville is now the mini New York City in terms of growing and new openings of "the new thing" or "it places," but I will give it my best shot today!

The Pharmacy Nashville - Located in the trendy part of town East Nashville, this burger & old style soda parlor is too cute. With their picnic tables & string lights in their beer garden area, this casual spot will make you feel right at home! Get an amazing burger from their many different choices, or select something delicious off of their Wurstchen menu. Complete your meal with an old fashioned soda, or if it's that time of day, select a drink choice from their craft beer or wine selections!
Bella Napoli Pizzeria - This Italian restaurant located right near Music Row, is more than just amazing, authentic Italian pizza... it has amazing pastas, salads, and desserts as well! This isn't on the list of most people's favorites in Nashville, but this is by far the best Italian restaurant in town! We've been going there since we first discovered it on Valentine's Day in 2011. I have also celebrated my last two birthdays there, bc Italian is my favorite & Bella Napoli is the best!
Milk & Honey - This is still pretty new to town, but it has quickly become one of my favorites! Located in The Gulch area on 11th Avenue, it has a VERY wide selection of foods serving breakfast, lunch, & dinner. Get a yummy salad or sandwich with a lavender honey latte for lunch, or Cali Grilled Chicken with a glass of rose` for dinner. There's also great little shops in The Gulch area to check out if you decide to go for lunch!
The Southern - When people ask Tony & I where to find the best steak dinner in Nashville, it's hands down The Southern! My favorite entree is 'The Belle,' an 8 oz. filet mignon, with white cheddar mac & cheese. It's conveniently located only a couple blocks away from the bar scene on Broadway, and is the perfect spot for your fancy splurge meal or special occasion!
Vinnie Louise on 12 South - One of my favorite local stores! The prices are so affordable, and they have such a cute selection. I love stopping into the 12 South location, bc there is tons to check out on this street with even more restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, a little farmer's market. (Note: Vinnie Louise also has an East Nashville location as well!)
3rd and Lindsley - Though many great music shows flow through here, this music venue is on my favorites list bc of one particular western-swing band that happens to play here almost every Monday... The Time Jumpers. This entire band is made up of Grammy Award winning world-class musicians, one band member being Vince Gill. The cover fee to get in is $25 a person, where you then are seated at a table either on the first floor or balcony area. They have great food and drinks available to enjoy during the show as you listen to the amazing harmonies and players of this band! (If you plan on wanting to see The Time Jumpers on a Monday night, I suggest purchasing your tickets online earlier that day to avoid not getting in at all. However, your advanced ticket purchase does not guarantee your seating place. So if you want a good seat, plan to get there EARLY and enjoy dinner and drinks while you wait for the show to start! Doors open at 5pm & the show starts at 8pm!)
The Grand Ole Opry - Last but not least... If you are coming to Nashville, I cannot stress enough the amazing experience that is the Opry! It's just so special, and one of the last true traditions that this town has left. With so much growth and change that this town is undergoing, The Grand Ole Opry has this rich, beautiful history of country music that is dear to my heart. There's just nothing like it, and if you visit, it needs to be something you experience for yourself!
Well guys, I hope this helps some of you wanting to come visit this wonderful Music City! And if any of you come and try out any of my suggestions, please email me or message me on Instagram which was your favorite. Also, check out @thenashvilleguide on Instagram for more suggestions and Nashville inspiration! I literally direct all of my family & friends coming to visit to them, to choose where they want to go and check out while they are here! :)
Love you all & have a great Tuesday,
