Mini Master Bedroom Revamp
Hey Friends!
Realized that I shared my mini master bedroom revamp on Instagram and LIKEtoKnow.it, but I didn't share it on here and give it a place where you can see all the pictures together linked!
So, with updating my bedding... the total I spent was about $45. I bought a new duvet for $28 that I just stuffed my grey comforter into that I already had at the end of my bed. I swapped out the bigger white decorative pillows and lumbar pillow, and got these light beige linen pillow covers 2 for $16.99 and used pillows I already had in my home.
BEFORE
I love grey and white, but for me... our walls are also Sherwin Williams Agreeable Grey. So it was feeling too grey and white. I needed just a little color and warmth. These two simple changes I believe achieved that for me without having to break the bank! Because let's face it, we have a baby on the way, so I don't have a ton of extra $$ to use on our room.
Also, another purchase we had to pull the trigger on that we had been putting off was a dresser for our room. My poor husband Tony had been basically living out of one of our spare rooms lol. He had all of his clothes in that other closet, and only got to keep his underwear and socks and a few t-shirts and shorts in our closet in our room because my clothing took up so much space. (We have two spare rooms- but the now guest room's closet still has a ton of his guitars and gear in it while the old guest room is now our son's room and closet.) Again- a necessity we needed, but not a big budget to work with. So I found this dresser on Walmart's site and it was right under $300 and free delivery. I read all the reviews and felt confident it was going to be the best for the price we could afford and boy was I right! We love this dresser! It's heavy, the drawers slide great, and it's the perfect size for our room! We got the Rustic White one, but they also have a Rustic Gray that looks so nice too! I think for Christmas we're going to finally invest in a new TV for our room and hang it on the wall (for baby's safety) but also, I'm excited to be able to style the top of the dresser a bit as well!
Hope this helped inspire some of you who need/want a little change to your room that don't have a big budget like us, that you can really change the feel of a room with very minor, affordable changes! As for little decor- always remember to look around your house and just try things in different places than where you've been using it. A room can come to life with the littlest changes and feel brand new!
Xo,
